Fully Booked — Salon Marketing

Salon Websites

Your website is your hardest working member of staff. Is it pulling its weight?

A salon website has one job: turn visitors into bookings. Not impress other designers. Not win awards. Not look pretty. Convert the person reading it into someone who picks up the phone, clicks the booking link, or fills in the contact form.

Most salon websites fail at this. They’re either outdated and slow, built on a template that looks like every other salon in the country, or technically fine but structured in a way that confuses Google and bores visitors. The result is a site that sits there costing money in hosting fees while doing almost nothing for the business.

We build salon websites that work — for clients, for Google, and for you.

What a salon website actually needs.

We’ve run a salon. We know what clients look for when they land on your site: can I see the work, can I see the prices, can I book easily, and do I trust these people? A good salon website answers all four questions within the first few seconds.

We also know what Google needs: fast load times, mobile-first structure, proper heading hierarchy, locally optimised content, and service pages that target the specific terms your clients search for. A beautiful website that Google can’t read is a wasted investment.

The websites we build satisfy both — because a site that converts visitors and ranks well in search is the only kind worth having.

What’s included in every build.

Custom WordPress build. Every site we build is a custom WordPress theme — not a page builder, not a template with your logo swapped in. Built properly, from scratch, to match your brand and serve your specific business needs. WordPress gives you full control over your content without needing a developer for every small change.

Mobile-first design. Over 70% of salon website traffic comes from mobile devices. We design for mobile first and scale up to desktop — not the other way around. Every element, every button, every booking link is optimised for someone browsing on their phone.

SEO foundations built in. Every page is structured for search from day one — proper title tags, meta descriptions, heading hierarchy, image optimisation, schema markup, and a sitemap. You’re not starting from zero with SEO; you’re starting ahead.

Service pages that rank. Generic “Services” pages don’t attract organic traffic. We build dedicated pages for each of your core services — written to rank for the specific terms your clients search for, and structured to convert the visitors they bring in.

Speed optimisation. A slow website loses bookings. Google also uses page speed as a ranking factor. Every site we build is optimised for fast load times — compressed images, clean code, no bloated plugins slowing everything down.

Booking system integration. We integrate your existing booking platform — whether that’s Fresha, Treatwell, Timely, Slick or another system — so the path from “interested” to “booked” is as short as possible.

Contact forms and lead capture. Not every potential client is ready to book immediately. We build contact forms and lead capture points so you’re collecting enquiries from people who need a nudge — and following up with them becomes part of your client communication system.

How the process works.

We start with a briefing call to understand your salon, your clients, and what you need the site to do. From there we handle everything: design, copywriting, development, photography direction, and launch. You review at key stages and give feedback — but the heavy lifting is ours.

Most builds take four to six weeks from briefing to launch, depending on how quickly content and images can be gathered. We manage the process so it doesn’t become a project that drags on for months.

After launch, we provide a handover so you can manage your own content — update prices, add blog posts, change team members — without needing to come back to us for every small change. Or if you’d prefer, we can manage it for you as part of an ongoing retainer.

Websites as part of your wider marketing.

A website in isolation is a starting point, not a strategy. The salons that get the best return from their website investment combine it with active SEO, a well-maintained Google Business Profile, and consistent social media — all driving traffic to a site that converts it.

We offer all of these services together, which means your website is never sitting in isolation. It’s the hub of a joined-up marketing system, with every other channel feeding traffic into it.

Frequently asked questions.

How much does a salon website cost?
Every build is scoped individually based on the number of pages, complexity, and what’s needed. We provide a clear, fixed quote after the initial briefing call — no surprises, no scope creep. Get in touch for a free consultation and we’ll give you an accurate figure.

Can you redesign my existing website rather than building from scratch?
In many cases, yes. If your current site has solid bones but needs modernising, we can rebuild it rather than starting from scratch — which is often faster and more cost-effective. We’ll advise honestly after reviewing what you have.

Do I own the website after it’s built?
Yes, completely. The site is yours. We hand over all files, logins and access at the end of the project. There are no ongoing licence fees or lock-in arrangements.

What if I want to update the site myself?
WordPress is designed for non-technical users. After handover we walk you through exactly how to update your content — adding blog posts, changing prices, updating team members — so you’re never dependent on a developer for routine changes.

Do you offer hosting?
We don’t provide hosting directly, but we advise on the best hosting options for your needs and can manage the setup. Most of our clients use reputable UK-based hosting providers with good uptime and support.

How important is it to have a website if I’m already on Fresha or Treatwell?
Very. Booking platforms are useful for existing clients but they don’t help new clients find you through Google. A properly built website with good SEO is how you attract people who have never heard of you — and that’s where sustainable growth comes from.
